Influence of discrete arrangement of porous filters on pressure drop

One of the problems modern world is air pollution by harmful substances contained in exhaust gases cars. To solve this problem, diesel, and gasoline porous particulate filters are used. However, it necessary that filter create a minimum pressure drop while maintaining high filtering capacity. The purpose study to identify feasibility discrete arrangement reduce drop. In work, we carried out determine with porosity values ε=0.75 ε=0.58. Experiments on measuring were for different number (from 2 5), arranged continuously discretely.
